Amazing Spider-Man

Looking for the one superhero comic you just have to read? You've found it! Amazing Spider-Man is the cornerstone of the Marvel Universe. This is where you'll find all the big-time action, major storylines and iconic Spider-Man magic you'd come to expect from the Wall-Crawler.

Batwoman

Spinning out of DETECTIVE COMICS and the weekly series 52, the Batwoman Kate Kane defends the streets of Gotham City in her very own self-titled series. But between maintaining her personal life and training a new Flamebird, she's got her work cut out for her!

Journey into the Mystery

The debut of Thor! A new age begins as the Odinson starts his divine campaign against the forces of evil!

New Avengers

This is quite possibly, my favorite title out of all of Marvel’s books. From the witty banter of Spider-Man, to the quips of Iron Fist, or the deadpan seriousness of Doctor Strange, this book has just about everything I can ask from a comic. Not to mention, I love the line-up. You have old favorites, Iron Fist and Luke Cage, classic icons like Ms. Marvel and Spider-Man, as well as recently inducted member Daredevil. New Avengers is definitely my first suggestion to any Marvel fan.

Mega Man

So it may be a kid’s book, but it’s much more than that to me. I feel this title is like a trip back to your childhood huddled around the old boxy TV blasting your way through yet another 8 robot masters. There are plenty of nostalgia elements in each book to jump out at the older reader while newer readers alike are just learning about each and everything. The art is something I can appreciate greatly, from the classic enemies to the labyrinths of the evil robot masters. Overall, it’s a nostalgic flashback that your inner nerdy child can love.

Chew

Chew is a title I always recommend to people who’ve never read a comic before. Combining elements of dark humor, gritty police (FDA) drama, and even a little bit of Sci-Fi, it ranks high on my list of favorite books. The expressions on the faces of the Tony Chu and the rest of the cast are quite possibly my favorite parts of the books. Such as Tony’s look of disgust from ingesting something other than beets, to his sister, Toni’s look of oblivious happiness. With stories about black market poultry, space berries, and your not-so-typical FDA agents, it’s hard not to like this title.
