First off I would like to thank you for visiting our site and hopefully you will enjoy our shop in the future if you haven't already.
I'm Ryan. I pretty much grew up everywhere in Southern California from Los Angeles to San Diego. I grew a strong love of comics when my dad brought home the full collection of THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN. I read through all 400 or some odd issues and fell in love. I had already been exposed to the likes of Bartman, Conan, and Madman, these titles warmed me up to Peter Parker and his adventures, which eventually led me to start exploring different publishers and different styles. After visiting my first San Diego Comic-Con in 2001 I could no longer contain my true inner nerd and went on a spree of reading and discussing everything comic books. Now, I live for Wednesdays and always look forward to everything new. Nothing is better to me than opening a title and seeing the first splash page and enjoying the overwhelming excitement of what is to come in the next adventure. My goal is to bring the same feeling to every reader and guide them to share the same love that I have for creativity, art, and original stories.
Ryan's Top Ten All- Time
I'm Sean and I've been reading comics ever since I was in elementary school. Comic books have always been a part of my life. My first experience with comics, as far as back as I can remember, was reading my dad's collections of Conan the Barbarian. The sword and sorcery stories reached out to my inner nerd and I've been hooked ever since. I used to read my dad's old DC comics, such as Hawkman, Batman, and the Flash. As a child of the late 80s/early 90s, I read a lot of Amazing Spider-Man, particularly around the Maximum Carnage timeline. Jim Lee's run on X-Men heavily influenced my reading as kid. Currently, I've tried to branch out more from my old favorites and broading my reading horizons. I'm always open to suggestions from customers. If you know a good book that I should read, feel free to let me know!
